Pullman & Comley Attorneys Presented at 2016 CBIA Compensation & Benefits Conference

Pullman & Comley attorneys Nancy D. Lapera, Jonathan B. Orleans, George J. Kasper and Sharon Kowal Freilich, members of the firm's Labor, Employment Law & Employee Benefits Department's Employee Benefits Practice, were featured speakers at the CBIA's 2016 Compensation & Benefits Conference on June 22, 2016.

Attorneys Nancy Lapera, George Kasper and Sharon Freilich presented an interactive discussion titled "Would Your Plan Survive a DOL or IRS Audit?" Their presentation examined the issues and practices that have most frequently triggered audits by these agencies. Additionally, they offered advice on best practices to help your company avoid the government’s scrutiny and enforcement actions.

Attorney Jon Orleans gave the lunchtime keynote presentation titled "FLSA Wage & Hour Update." His presentation provided a comprehensive overview of changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime regulations and steps employers should take to implement necessary adjustments to employee classifications, compensation strategies, and recordkeeping practices.
