Attorney Joshua A. Hawks-Ladds Presented "Getting the Most Out of Your Municipal Staff" for CCM and CRCOG
Pullman & Comley attorney Joshua A. Hawks-Ladds, chair of the firm’s Labor, Employment Law and Employee Benefits practice, presented "Getting the Most Out of Your Municipal Staff: Best Practices for Evaluating Employees and Administering Effective Progressive Discipline" on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Rocky Hill Town Hall. This event was sponsored by the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) and the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG).
Attorney Hawks-Ladds will provide a step-by-step overview of effective progressive discipline including communication, counseling and documentation protocols, as well as the successive steps of verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension and termination. He also provided best practice guidelines for establishing employee goals and performance standards, including the preparation of performance evaluations and written reviews, as well as how to effectively conduct performance evaluation meetings.
