Steven Stafstrom to Speak at the National Summit to Advance States' Criminal Justice Priorities
Pullman & Comley Litigation attorney Steven J. Stafstrom will speak at the National Summit to Advance States' Criminal Justice Priorities in a plenary session titled "Using Data to Make the Justice System Fairer and More Effective." This 50-state summit will provide data, both national and state specific, to better understand the challenges, costs and concerns associated with the criminal justice system. Speakers will engage with in-depth assessments of state statutes, policies and practices across the nation to provide context for key data and levers for change.
Steve's presentation will focus on the ways data can identify disparities and inequities in criminal justice outcomes and policies. Steve, who also serves as House Chairman of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Judiciary Committee, will discuss how he and other state data experts have worked to incorporate data measures and reporting into identifying inequities and changing policies to reduce them.
