Karen A. Jeffers and Russell F. Anderson Conduct Webinar on "Assessing Website Accessibility"

Attorneys Karen A. Jeffers and Russell F. Anderson of Pullman & Comley's Business and Finance practice presented at the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ Legal Affairs Committee meeting on November 28, 2017 on the topic, "Assessing Website Accessibility."  Ms. Jeffers reviewed the recent flurry of ADA lawsuits focused on website accessibility and provided an overview of associated legal requirements. Mr. Anderson explained the technical standards (WCAG 2.0 Level AA) required to make web content accessible for people with disabilities, such as blindness and deafness.  In addition, Mr. Anderson led a discussion of potential approaches to customer contractual demands with respect to liability for accessibility compliance.
