Andrew Glassman Discusses Connecticut's Social Equity in the Cannabis Industry with E-Newsletter Grown In
Andrew C. Glassman, co-chair of Pullman & Comley's Business and Finance practice and member of the firm's Cannabis, CBD and Hemp team, spoke with Cannabis industry newsletter Grown In about how the social equity components of Connecticut's recreational cannabis legislation will shape future growth in the state's industry. Out-of-state owners make up 83% of all medical retail store owners in the state, but multi-state operators that want to participate in the Connecticut recreational cannabis industry will need to partner with someone who meets the definition of a social equity applicant.
Andy believes that multi-state operators can have a positive impact on Connecticut's market. "Multi-state operators are interested in building up their footprint nationally and becoming dominant players in the market, bringing good standard practices to the industry,” he says.
