David Atkins Comments on Professional Discipline and Michael Cohen

Attorney David Atkins, chair of Pullman & Comley’s Professional Liability practice, was referenced in a Bloomberg Law “Big Law Business” article entitled “Michael Cohen’s Troubles Don’t End with His Guilty Plea,” which discussed whether Cohen’s guilty pleas to tax fraud and campaign finance violations would subject him to professional discipline, apart from criminal penalties. The article also addressed whether Cohen's statements implicating President Trump in criminal acts violated his duty to keep client confidences.

David addressed the exception to the rule against non-disclosure when an lawyer is defending himself “against an accusation of wrongful conduct.”
