Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Addresses Pullman & Comley Breakfast
Daniel C. Esty, the commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), spoke at a breakfast hosted by Pullman & Comley on May 22 at the Hartford Club. In his remarks he spoke about his disappointment in the General Assembly's legislative session and its inability to pass productive legislation. The commissioner explained, "The harmony that we had last year when we were able to get so much done wasn't there this year and did not produce the same results."
Some of the measures Esty wanted passed during the legislative session included PACE - property-assessed clean energy financing; and allowing the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority to issue bonding.
