IN THE NEWS: Pullman & Comley Attorney Comments on Ricci v. DeStefano Ruling by U.S. Supreme Court
Pullman & Comley attorney Daniel A. Schwartz commented on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Ricci v. DeStefano in an article published in the Connecticut Law Tribune on June 29, 2009. The court ruled that the city of New Haven acted improperly when it threw out the results of firefighters’ promotional exams on which African American applicants did poorly.
“It’ll certainly have an impact on towns and companies that rely on these types of test,” said Dan. “If they don’t want to use the test [results], they’ll have to come up with a pretty good reason.”
