Pullman & Comley attorney Joshua Hawks-Ladds was quoted in an article by Alice Gomstyn and Lauren Pearle on abcnews.com, "Could Be Worse: AIG Double Bonus Jeopardy," about AIG's decision to pay $165 million in retention bonuses after receiving federal bailout money. According to Josh, who also serves as the vice chair of the Connecticut Bar Association labor and employment section executive committee, if AIG didn't pay these bonuses, employees could sue the company for at least $330 million. "If our tax dollars are being used to fund these payouts and the payouts end up being double," Josh said, "then we're paying double."
