IN THE NEWS: Pullman & Comley Attorney Speaks About the Responsibilities of Retirement Plan Fiduciaries

Pullman & Comley attorney George J. Kasper was quoted extensively in "Have You Performed Your Fiduciary Duty?," an article by Pam Dawkins which appeared in the 9/29/2008 issue of the Connecticut Post. The article discusses, among other issues, the increasing attention being paid to the monitoring and controlling of the investment manager's activities in 401 (k) and other retirement plans.

In the article, Kasper says that "There certainly seems to be ... an emphasis by the DOL in ensuring plan fiduciaries are undertaking their full responsibilities."

He goes on to state that "In order to get protection from [poor returns], you give them a diverse group of investments to choose from," as well as full communication about their investments.
