James T. Shearin Talks with Law360 about 2022 Connecticut Legal Market Trends 

Pullman & Comley Chairman James T. Shearin was quoted in Law360 Pulse’s article on the outlook for the new year in “4 Big Areas of Focus for Conn. Managing Partners in ’22.”  Reporter Sameer Rao interviewed Tim and managing partners of two other leading Connecticut law firms for the story, which covered the continuing impact of Covid-19, the legalization of recreational cannabis, hiring trends and diversity and inclusion.

Tim noted that Connecticut’s legalization of recreational cannabis for adults will drive continuing growth in the economy and the related legal market.

“The cannabis market starts with growers and retailers,” he said.  “Our goal is to be a legal resource for each level in that chain.  So far, we’re quite successful at that, representing people on the growing side, on the production and manufacturing side, and then on the distribution and retail side.  It’s going to be a significant industry.”
