John F. Stafstrom, Jr. Nominated as Vice-Chair of Development for Lambda Legal
John F. Stafstrom, Jr., chair of the firm's Government Finance Practice, was nominated as Vice-Chair of Development for Lambda Legal, a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV.
Mr. Stafstrom previously served on the National Leadership Council of Lambda Legal. He is experienced in government and municipal law, commercial finance and commercial transactions, and has drafted significant legislation in the public finance area. He is actively involved in the Bridgeport community and serves on the P.T. Barnum Foundation, Inc.’s board of directors; and the Norma Pfriem Urban Outreach Initiative’s board of directors. He is a member of the board of directors and serves as vice chairman for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s Government Relations Committee. He also served as the 2013 Ringmaster for Bridgeport’s annual Barnum Festival. Mr. Stafstrom is founder of Career Resources, Inc., an organization that serves workers and employers, connecting workers with the education, skills training and supports to succeed in the workforce. He is a former four-term member of the Bridgeport City Council.
