Steve Stafstrom Quoted in Law360 Article on CT Supreme Court Nominee
Steve Stafstrom, a partner in Pullman & Comley’s Litigation practice who also serves as a Connecticut state representative and co-chair of the General Assembly’s Judiciary Committee, was quoted in a Law360 article about Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont's newest nominee for a seat on the Connecticut Supreme Court, former acting U.S. Attorney Nora Dannehy.
"Attorney Dannehy is someone who is well known to the legislature and to the committee through her years of working in state government both for the governor's office and the attorney general's office," he said. "She is certainly a well-respected and highly educated attorney who has the right temperament to sit on the Supreme Court bench, so I don't anticipate any major opposition to her nomination."
Steve noted that legislators look for fair, efficient judges and that Connecticut jurists are vetted by a nonpartisan panel before advancing through the Judiciary Committee.
