Connecticut VOICE Magazine Spotlights John F. Stafstrom and his Life of Activism
The summer issue of Connecticut VOICE Magazine celebrates Pride Month and the Connecticut communities that have implemented Pride Celebrations and embraced their LGBTQ+ members. John F. Stafstrom, a long-term partner and co-chair of the Public Finance practice at Pullman & Comley, was featured in the magazine for his significant contributions to supporting LGBTQ+ communities throughout his career and for the work he's performed with Lambda Legal for the past nine years, including the last two as chair of the national board of directors.
Looking at the legal landscape today, John said two key issues he sees affecting LGBTQ+ communities are the attempt to limit privacy rights and limit expression in violation of the First Amendment, particularly in a climate where nearly 300 anti-LGTQ+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures.
