Michael Kurs Reappointed to New York State Bar Association House of Delegates

HARTFORD:  Pullman & Comley, LLC has announced that Attorney Michael A. Kurs has been reappointed as one of two non-resident members of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) House of Delegates. 

The House of Delegates is the decision and policy-making body of the NYSBA, and meets four times a year. Action taken by the House of Delegates on specific issues becomes official NYSBA policy.  Mike has served as a non-resident delegate since 2009. With more than 76,000 members, NYSBA is the nation's oldest and largest voluntary statewide association of lawyers.

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in which he has handled a diverse array of cases in the state and federal courts and before state and federal agencies.  He practices in the areas of health law, litigation, insurance, and energy and utilities law.

Mike is the chair of the Administrative Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and also serves on the Executive Committees of the CBA’s Health Law and Anti-Trust and Trade Regulation sections.  Mike is a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Health Lawyers Association and The Hartford County Bar Foundation and a Connecticut Bar Foundation James W. Cooper Fellow.  He is licensed to practice in Connecticut, New York and Georgia, and before the Mashantucket Tribal Court.  Mike is a 1977 graduate of Yale College and received his J.D. from the Antioch Law School in 1980.
