PRESS RELEASE: Pullman & Comley Welcomes Joshua S. Cole and Lauren C. Davies

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., June 29, 2018: Pullman & Comley is pleased to announce the addition of Joshua S. Cole and Lauren C. Davies to the firm. Mr. Cole has joined the firm as Counsel in the Real Estate practice and will reside in the firm’s Bridgeport and Westport offices. Ms. Davies joins the firm as an Associate in the Trusts and Estates practice and will be based in Bridgeport.

Mr. Cole brings with him more than 15 years of experience handling all types of real estate matters, both commercial and residential, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and commercial finance transactions. He represents borrowers and lenders in all types of secured and unsecured financing transactions including mortgage loans, term loans, lines of credit, asset based revolving credit facilities, mezzanine loans, bond financings, loan purchases and loan sales.
He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section, the Westchester County Bar Association and the Real Estate Finance Association. For the past six years, Mr. Cole has been involved in numerous town committees for the Town of Wilton, serving in leadership roles for the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Board of Selectman Subcommittee on Town Counsel Selection, the Republican Town Committee, and served as a delegate for the town in both the 2016 and 2018 Connecticut Republican State Conventions.
Mr. Cole is admitted to the state and federal courts of Connecticut and New York; the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Sacred Heart University in 1998 and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in May 2002.
Ms. Davies represents clients in a broad range of estate planning and administrative matters, including counseling individual and corporate clients to develop and implement estate plans that minimize estate and gift taxes. She also has far-reaching experience in civil litigation, federal
practice, arbitration, real estate and probate litigation. Her litigation experience lends valuable guidance to fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex trust and estate matters and in navigating the legal system when an institutional action is required.
During law school, Ms. Davies was a research editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and contributed articles to the national reporter of the Sea Grant Law Center. Upon law school graduation, she joined a boutique law firm specializing in commercial litigation and dispute resolution for maritime law matters.
Ms. Davies is admitted to the state and federal courts of Connecticut and New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the state courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2005.
