CT Chapter Assists in Passage of New Brownfields Act
In his article entitled "CT Chapter Assists in Passage of New Brownfields Act" in the July, 2009, National Brownfield Association newsletter, attorney Lee Hoffman writes about Connecticut Public Act 235, “An Act Concerning Brownfields Development Projects,” which was signed into law on June 25 by Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. According to Lee, “The chief benefit of the new Act … is that it provides substantial liability protections for certain qualified purchasers of abandoned brownfield properties in Connecticut.”
