James T. Shearin and James Stewart honored at GBBA Annual Dinner
The Greater Bridgeport Bar Association’s annual dinner meeting was held on May 17th 2018 at the Tashua Knolls Restaurant in Trumbull. James T. Shearin, past president of GBBA, was presented with the Career Service Award. The Career Service Award is presented to a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association who has exemplified the highest standards of the Bar, including excellence in their work, courteousness, honor, and professionalism including, but not be limited to, participation and volunteerism associated with local, charitable, non-profit social service agencies and similar organizations.
James Stewart, who is a frequent panelist for several Greater Bridgeport Bar Association programs, was recognized for 50 years of dedication to the Profession of Law in Connecticut. He passed the Connecticut Bar in 1968 with his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. That same year, he joined Pullman & Comley’s Trusts and Estates Department.
