What if imperfections in elections are OK?
Mark Sommaruga, a member of the School Law practice and Labor, Employment Law and Employee Benefits Department and, authored an article in the Hartford Courant on election inadequacies, results, and laws. Mark, also the author of “Understanding Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act,” says “The Connecticut courts have largely pronounced a “no harm, no foul” rule for challenges to elections. While this may not seem very aspirational, it is, perhaps, practical.”
