Stovall co-authored an article titled "Remote and Cross-Border Law: Practice in Connecticut and Beyond" for the Connecticut Lawyer magazine, which covers a new rule passed on June 10, 2022 at the annual Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct meeting.
Rule 5.5 addresses the challenges presented by varying restrictions on the unauthorized practice of law (UPL) that arose as a result of the mass shift to remote work caused by the pandemic, such as lawyers who are licensed in one jurisdiction providing legal services to clients while physically located in another jurisdiction.
