2024 Energy and Environmental Legislative Breakfast with DEEP Commissioner Katie Dykes
We are looking forward to welcoming back the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Commissioner Katie Dykes for our 12th Annual Energy and Environmental Legislative Breakfast at The Hartford Club.
Commissioner Dykes will offer her perspective on the recently completed legislative session, what the future holds for Connecticut’s energy and environmental efforts as well as how these issues may impact the State’s economic future.
Following Commissioner Dykes' talk, a panel of Pullman & Comley attorneys, moderated by attorney Diane W. Whitney, will discuss highlights of the 2024 legislative session and the outlook for the local and regional regulatory landscape. Topics to be discussed include:
- Update on new PFAS regulation
- Recent developments with Connecticut’s Release-Based Cleanup Regulations
- Need for new energy generation and ISO-NEs projections
- Overview of CT House Bill 5453 (Siting Council)
- Other legislation that passed — and didn't — and the impact on the political landscape
Panelists include Lee D. Hoffman, Frederic L. Klein, Gary B. O’Connor, Liana Feinn and Steven J. Stafstrom, who also serves as House Chair of the Judiciary Committee.
