A Conversation with Commissioner Dykes and Review of the 2021 Legislative Session
Throughout the past year, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) continued to carry out its mission during a pandemic all while embarking on an overhaul of our state’s remediation programs and driving new investment into battling climate change and fostering clean energy programs. Katie Dykes, confirmed in 2019 as DEEP’s 13th Commissioner, faced a host of unprecedented challenges in 2020, and as we begin to approach our “next normal,” we welcomed her back for our 9th annual Breakfast with the DEEP Commissioner. Commissioner Dykes offered her perspective on the past year, what the future holds for Connecticut’s energy and environmental efforts as well as how these issues may impact the State’s economic future.
Following Commissioner Dykes' talk, a panel of Pullman & Comley attorneys provided an overview of the 2021 legislative session and the outlook for the local and regional regulatory landscape.
