Campbell D. Barrett and David P. Atkins to Speak to Forensic Accountants on Testifying as an Expert Witness

Campbell D. Barrett, chair of Pullman & Comley's Family Law and Appellate practice groups and David P. Atkins, chair of Pullman & Comley's Professional Liability practice, will present a program to forensic accountants on testifying as an expert witness. 

This Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program is sponsored by the national accounting firm of Clifton Larson Allen (CLA), LLP.  It will be presented to the firm's CPAs who provide forensic accounting services in litigation, including providing opinions on the value of assets or businesses in dispute.  The speakers will demonstrate through simulated witness examinations some of the common pitfalls faced by expert witnesses, together with suggestions for avoiding such traps, and most importantly, for maintaining credibility and persuasiveness on the witness stand.
