Geoffrey F. Fay, an attorney who practices Real Estate and Residential, Commercial and Community Development Projects for Pullman and Comley, published an article in both the Hartford Business Journal and New Haven BIZ on changes to commercial leases due to the effects of COVID-19.
He writes “In 2021, concerns for health and safety will likely eclipse the importance of tenant amenities.” This could mean changes in air filtration, sanitation expectations, and further negotiations over force majeure clauses.
