Overview

Beck S. Fineman’s practice encompasses a wide range of family law matters, where he leverages his extensive litigation experience to advocate effectively for his clients.

Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Beck was a partner at a leading litigation law firm in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he represented corporate, governmental, and individual clients. He has tried cases to verdict in both federal and state courts in Connecticut and New York, as well as in federal administrative forums, focusing on labor and employment matters, complex personal injury cases in highly regulated industries, and catastrophic losses.  Notably, Beck has briefed and argued nine appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Eleventh Circuits, in addition to representing clients in the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts.

Beck is an active member of the legal community, previously serving as President of the LGBTQ Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and currently serving on the Connecticut Bar Association’s Awards Committee.  Beck was selected to be a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, a nonprofit organization of nominated lawyers, judges and teachers of law, dedicated to promoting equal access to justice in Connecticut.  He is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Connecticut School of Law and has presented on LGBTQ+ perspectives at both national and local legal conferences.
