Overview

Isabelle Bibet-Kalinyak is a well-recognized healthcare attorney skilled in navigating complex transactions across the healthcare industry. With deep experience advising physician groups, multistate healthcare organizations, and cutting-edge virtual care platforms, Isabelle is a trusted partner in driving transformative deals. Her practice spans private equity-backed acquisitions, hospital and ASC transactions, joint ventures, MSO structuring, and strategic partnerships, all while ensuring regulatory compliance in an ever-evolving landscape.

Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Isabelle served as Vice Chair of the Healthcare Practice Group at a leading New Jersey law firm, where she advised healthcare providers, systems, and executive leadership on corporate structuring and integration strategies. She is highly regarded for her strategic counsel on mergers and acquisitions and compliance in navigating regulatory shifts, helping clients adapt to industry changes while maintaining operational and legal excellence. The depth of Isabelle’s experience and her keen affinity for technical and operational matters enables her to assist clients in evaluating both the legal and business ramifications of negotiations, transactions, and compliance issues.

Drawing on her previous role representing six medical societies, including the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC), the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology (NJAO), the New Jersey Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (NJOGS), the New Jersey Obstetrical & Gynecological Society (NJACOG), the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society (NJOS), and the New Jersey Society of Pathologists (NJSP), Isabelle offers clients a unique blend of legal, business, and operational insight. She serves as a trusted legal advisor to health systems, telemedicine platforms, physician practices (anesthesia, behavioral healthcare, cardiology, chiropractic, dermatology, FP/IM, GI, OB-GYN, fertility, oncology, ophthalmology, optometry, pathology, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, surgery, urology, veterinary), ASCs, labs, LTC facilities, and individual physicians on a broad range of complex healthcare matters involving corporate, compliance, licensing, fraud & abuse, HIPAA, business alignment, life cycle management, and Medicare/payor matters.

As one of the few French business attorneys in the U.S. and a first-generation immigrant, Isabelle’s healthcare practice has over time organically expanded to trans-national business transactions and immigration. She brings vast knowledge and experience advising U.S. clients with operations in French-speaking countries as well as companies based in French-speaking countries seeking to expand in the U.S. market.  Her employment-based immigration practice handles applications for H-1B, L-1, and TN visas, green cards, U.S. citizenship, and related immigration matters.

Isabelle served as Honorary Consul to the French government in Ohio from 2019 to 2022.  Before practicing law, she held leadership roles in sales, strategic business development, and training for global pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis, as well as in operations and international business as the General Manager of the public transportation division of Schneller Inc., a global manufacturer of custom, specialty laminates and coated films for train and aircraft interiors in Paris, France and in Kent, Ohio.

Isabelle frequently speaks at national conferences, including those hosted by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO/AAOE), ASCRS/AAOE, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), addressing topics such as healthcare mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
