Attorneys Kathryn E. Boucher and Ashley Tyler Hokanson Join Pullman & Comley

HARTFORD, CT, December 5, 2024 — Pullman & Comley, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of attorneys Kate Boucher and Tyler Hokanson to the firm’s Real Estate, Energy, Environmental and Land Use practice.

Ms. Boucher, who joins the firm as a member, focuses on the areas of energy and telecommunications. Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Ms. Boucher served as regulatory counsel at ISO New England, a nonprofit corporation that runs the New England electric grid, where she worked primarily on wholesale market issues.

She also has experience as an associate in the Hartford office of a multinational, full-service law firm, where she counseled energy, communications and utility clients on policy, regulatory, legislative, compliance, siting, environmental and transactional issues and appeared before various New England state commissions on energy and communications matters. In addition, she worked on regional energy policy matters and long-term renewable energy projects in earlier roles for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), where she advised commissioners and staff on legal matters and represented the agency on the Governor’s Council on Climate Change.

Ms. Boucher is president and sits on the board of directors of the Connecticut Power and Energy Society and is past president of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Energy Public Utilities and Communications Section. She is also co-chair of the board of directors of the Center for Children’s Advocacy and vice chair of the board of directors for The Open Hearth.

Ms. Boucher earned her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Maine and received her M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University School of Business and her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Tyler Hokanson joins the firm as counsel. He is a transactional real estate attorney who has counseled clients in joint ventures, financings, purchases, sales of industrial, office, multifamily and retail properties across the country.

Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Mr. Hokanson was a senior associate at a global law firm based in New York, where he handled transactions representing owners, investors, tenants and developers in acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, leasing and management of all types of commercial real estate. Before that, he was a transactional real estate attorney in the Dallas office of a national Am Law 100 firm where he represented lenders, owners and developers.

Mr. Hokanson earned his B.M. from California State University and his M.M., cum laude, from the University of Southern California. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
