Overview

Christopher M. Rousseau is an associate in the Real Estate, Energy, Environmental and Land Use Department and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate, zoning and land use. He has substantial experience representing clients in acquisitions and dispositions and the development of all types of commercial real estate. In this role, he assists clients in the negotiation and documentation of transactions through the drafting of purchase and sale agreements, negotiation of loan documents and title and survey review. Chris regularly represents both landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of leases and amendments for retail, office and industrial spaces throughout Connecticut.

Chris actively represents businesses and developers in local zoning and land use matters throughout Connecticut. In this capacity, he assists with all aspects of obtaining municipal approvals for clients, including site plan, special permit, and variance approvals. Chris also works with companies in the cannabis industry in obtaining various cannabis-related zoning approvals and the negotiation and drafting of related leasing documents.

    • Assisted with the acquisition of a 345-unit multifamily apartment complex in Georgia for $37 million. 
    • Assisted with the acquisition of a 280 parking stall open air parking facility in Hartford, CT for $4.1 million.
    • Assisted with the acquisition of a 224-unit multifamily apartment complex in Georgia for $10.1 million.
    • Assisted with the sale of various CVS locations around the United States.
