Pullman & Comley Promotes Matthew D. Glennon and Christopher M. Rousseau to Members of the Firm
BRIDGEPORT, CT Jan. 3, 2025 — Pullman & Comley, LLC is pleased to announce the promotions of Matthew D. Glennon and Christopher M. Rousseau to members of the firm.
Mr. Glennon, who joined Pullman & Comley’s Business Organizations and Finance practice in 2021, routinely assists clients in executing complex business matters. He focuses his practice on corporate and business law and financing, and has particular experience with mergers and acquisitions, debt transactions, advising on business formation and ownership transition matters, and serving as outside general counsel to his clients.
Since the legalization of recreational cannabis in Connecticut, Mr. Glennon has continued to build a practice in this area and has been a key part of Pullman & Comley’s efforts in advising applicants and license holders on the new market. As the state developed its policy, Mr. Glennon communicated the impacts of the new legislation to clients and has remained on the leading edge of the industry as it continues to evolve in Connecticut.
Westfair Business Journal named Mr. Glennon a 40 Under Forty honoree for Fairfield County in 2024 and Moffly Media recognized him as a Top Lawyer in Fairfield County in the area of Business Law in 2023. He was selected to the Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2024 in the area of Business/Corporate.
Mr. Glennon currently serves on the board of the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce and previously served as treasurer for Judge Ben Gettinger when he ran for Milford-Orange Probate Judge and on the Milford Connecticut Pension and Retirement Board.
Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Mr. Glennon began his legal career as an attorney at a leading global hedge fund, where he was a member of the corporate transactions and governance team, before working at a mid-sized law firm.
Mr. Glennon received his B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University, magna cum laude, his M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University School of Business, and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Mr. Rousseau joined Pullman & Comley’s Real Estate, Energy, Environmental and Land Use practice in 2021 and concentrates on the areas of commercial real estate, zoning and land use. He has substantial experience representing clients in acquisitions and dispositions and the development of all types of commercial real estate. In this role, he assists clients in the negotiation and documentation of transactions through the drafting of purchase and sale agreements, negotiation of loan documents and title and survey reviews. Mr. Rousseau regularly represents both landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of leases and amendments for retail, office and industrial spaces throughout Connecticut.
Mr. Rousseau actively represents businesses and developers in local zoning and land use matters throughout Connecticut. In this capacity, he assists with all aspects of obtaining municipal approvals for clients, including site plan, special permit, and variance approvals. Mr. Rousseau represents restaurateurs across the state and regionally in all aspects of real estate, including the acquisition and leasing of property, and obtaining municipal approvals. He also works with companies in the cannabis industry in obtaining various cannabis-related zoning approvals and the negotiation and drafting of related leasing documents.
The Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Stars list recognized Mr. Rousseau in 2023 and 2024 in the area of real estate law. He received his BSBA from Suffolk University in 2013 and his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2016.
